The fact that I grew up with a father who often used humor means that I always check in: &quot;Is this something we can enjoy together, is it meant to be funny?&quot; It can be that simple to create a common interest<\/p>\n<h3>Similarities<\/h3>\n<p>Do you share basic values, the moral compass, beliefs and goals in life? It can be good to focus on, but as I mention later, it is not all-important.<\/p>\n<p>It is also crucial that you share important values. Such as fidelity and how social you are. Are guests often allowed? If not, the relationship will too often be challenged as values dictate how we live life.<\/p>\n<h3>Intimacy<\/h3>\n<p>Intimacy must be understood as a feeling of being able to trust each other, open up and share one&#039;s innermost thoughts and feelings.
